Demolition of Anniston Chemical Agent Disposal Facility
Wrecking Balls started in September, demolishing Anniston’s chemical weapons stockpile. The plans to demolish the building started before it was even built according to Mike Abrams,who is the Army’s public affairs officer of the project. Billions will be spent on the tearing it down.
During the peak of its operation it employed 1,000 workers. Now mere 166 workers are still there. This amount will drop again to only 28 by June of next year.
